The Denver Broncos dominated in their ‘get right’ game last week after back-to-back walk-off losses. At 2-2, they are in must-win mode, while the Philadelphia Eagles at 4-0 have won every single game by one score. It hasn’t been easy for them either, but they keep finding ways to pull out the win each time. Will that streak continue in Week 5?Game OverviewDenver Broncos at Philadelphia EaglesSunday, October 5, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. We were all over the map on this one, but most of us had it come down to a very close finish with a mixed bag of wins and losses for our Broncos. Hopefully those of us who think they’ll lose are wrong on Sunday. Here’s how each of us predicted things would go individually:Eagles 24, Broncos 20Look, it’s the whole 2-8 in one score games that has me on the fence with optimism. Until this team starts figuring out how to win those close games, I’ll have to give the edge to the team that has those close games figured out. The Eagles certainly do and they are playing at home. Obviously, I’ll celebrate being wrong harder than anyone out there. This team is on the cusp of becoming a contender and I won’t stop being excited about that. - Tim LynchBroncos 27, Eagles 26There is a path to victory on Sunday. The Eagles’ offense is far from dynamic and sits fourth in the league in three and outs while averaging around just 120 yards rushing and 140 yards passing. They thrive off of turnovers and special teams. If Denver can limit their mental mistakes, play clean football, and resemble any bit of the team from Monday night, they can pull off the upset. - Ross AllenEagles 34, Broncos 13While I am hopeful that this won’t happen, I still have PTSD from the last time the Broncos played the Eagles in Philly. It was the only time I have seen the Broncos in-person and the Broncos got absolutely embarrassed. I know that this is not the same Eagles team or the same Broncos team, but I have a bad feeling about this game. I think the Eagles are going to expose our ILBs and OLBs in run support and set a precedent for how to attack this defense. - Joe MahoneyEagles 23, Broncos 20This will be a tough game for the Broncos to win. The Eagles have been great at home over the past few seasons. Even though their offense has struggled this season, they have a lot of playmakers to account for. On defense, they have struggled to defend the run but have been opportunistic with turnovers. I think this will be a close game, but I don’t think it will be Denver who wins. - Chris HartEagles 27, Broncos 17This could have been a matchup between two undefeated teams, but for a couple of Broncos collapses. That would have been touted as the biggest game of the season, so far. Perhaps we are lucky that it is not. The Eagles are really good. Saquon Barkley makes me nervous. I don’t want to get too fatalistic, but this is where we get to see the difference between a team with a ton of potential, and a team that can impose its will at any time. Denver will keep it close-ish. - Adam MalnatiBroncos 31, Eagles 17The lack of confidence here is alarming and making me do this sh*t. The Eagles are 4-0 but flawed, and have drama brewing in the locker room. In comes the Broncos, a team better than their 2-2 record and a buzzsaw the Eagles will not be ready for. Jalen Hurts has multiple turnovers, the Broncos hold Barkley in check, and the Broncos continue their explosive plays on offense.- Scotty PayneBroncos 27, Eagles 24I originally had the Broncos losing by this score, but what the heck! Go big or go home. The calendar flipped to October and that’s when Payton-coached teams start winning at a regular clip. Payton is 50-17 all time in October. I also think the Broncos view this Sunday as a litmus test for them and what the rest of the season could bring. The defense does as Scotty suggested, while Nix and the offense carry over what they did against the Bengals for the huge road win. - Ian St. Clair
