Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade has made an excellent start to his Premier League careerJamie Carragher has dubbed Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge 'a joke' for his 'disrespectful' comments about Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade. The German champions spent the summer trying to sign Woltemade from Stuttgart but refused to pay their Bundesliga rivals' asking price.Newcastle then stole in towards the end of the transfer window and secured his club record transfer for a fee of £69million.Rummenigge dubbed United 'idiots' for paying such a high fee and he is one of a number of Bayern Munich officials to take a public pop at the Woltemade deal. However, the German international continues to offer his response on the pitch. The 23-year-old became only the third Magpies forward since Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand to score in each of his first three home Premier League games after bagging the second goal of their 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest. It followed on from the forward opening his Champions League account in midweek. And Carragher hopes Woltemade continues to make look Bayern foolish with his performances in a Newcastle shirt."I really like him and I actually saw that quote a few days ago and it angered me and I am not a Newcastle United supporter," Carragher told Sky Sports."I think it is a joke really coming from someone who is part of a football club, in terms of Bayern Munich, a really respected football club."He shouldn't be speaking about, especially, another German player like that so disrespectfully. That would have been all over the news in Germany and his family and friends are there."That is our job, we are pundits, not somebody who is associated with such a fantastic club. That is really disrespectful and when I saw that I thought: 'Do you know what? I really hope that lad shoves those words down his mouth'."And at the start of his Premier League career it looks like he is going to do."
