After two wins from two in the Premier League, Arsenal are the early frontrunners. Mikel Arteta will now hope his side stays there between now and the end of May.

Wins against Manchester United and Leeds United has ensured a decent start to the season for the Gunners, who are top on goal difference, with Tottenham and Liverpool also on six points. Arsenal travel to Liverpool on Sunday and preparations have already begun in north London for the clash at Anfield.

On a sunny day at London Colney on Monday, the players were put through their paces by Arteta and his coaching staff. It was Eberechi Eze's first training session with his new teammates since completing a move from Crystal Palace, with spirits appearing to be high, judging by the pictures released by the club's official channels on Tuesday. Below are four things football.london spotted from the snaps...

Eze arrives

After moving to Arsenal in a deal worth £67.5million, Eze was unveiled at Emirates Stadium before Saturday's win over Leeds. The 27-year-old was all smiles as he waved to all four corners of the stadium and he was in a similar mood during Monday's session.

Arsenal's new No.10 was pictured stretching in the London sun and at one point even jumped on Declan Rice's back, with the two seemingly already having a close bond. Eze was then pictured with the ball at his feet and it will not be long until Gunners supporters see this in the flesh in the Premier League.

Transfer hint

The summer transfer window will close on Monday, September 1 at 7pm and there is still plenty of business to be done. Andrea Berta has already signed Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cristhian Mosquera, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Eze this window, with the club expected to focus on exits in the coming days.

Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior, Reiss Nelson and Albert Sambi Lokonga were all pictured in Monday's session despite being linked with moves away. For now, it seems, no deals are close to being completed but there's still some time for permanent or loan moves to come to fruition.

Injury reality

Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were not seen in Monday's training session images after the duo picked up injuries against Leeds. Saka injured his hamstring while Odegaard sustained a knock to his shoulder, although football.london understands their injuries are not thought to be serious.

Saka is expected to be out for around four weeks while Odegaard may well recover in time to face Liverpool. The pair, though, were not involved in the session, while there was no sign of Kai Havertz, Christian Norgaard or Ben White. Elsewhere, Gabriel Jesus is continuing his recovery from knee surgery.

Dowman impact

Fresh from making his Premier League debut against Leeds on Saturday, Max Dowman was among the players to take to the grass on Monday. The 15-year-old won a penalty against Leeds, which Viktor Gyokeres scored, and has had a sensational start to the season, if you include the Gunners' pre-season.

He was pictured in Monday's session running at Myles Lewis-Skelly and enjoying himself once more. With Liverpool coming up on Sunday, it will be fascinating to see if Arteta trusts the teenager against the current champions.
