The return of football’s most prestigious competition is here, with players readying themselves for the 2025/26 instalment of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

It will see the introduction of the 18-team league phase format, something that has shown to be an overwhelming success in the men’s tournament.

Action will commence from 7/8 October, with teams playing six times each against a different opponent.

Clubs who finish inside the top four will automatically qualify for the knockout stages, which begins with the quarter-finals, while the next eight teams compete in a two-legged play-off in a bid to progress.

Those who finish between 13 and 18 will be eliminated.

The final of the competition will be held the last week of May, in Norway, with the date still to be confirmed.
