Report: Adam Idah In Wales For Swansea Medical As Transfer Fee Revealed

Celtic striker Adam Idah is edging closer to a permanent exit from Parkhead, with Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph reporting that the Republic of Ireland international is in Wales today completing the second part of his medical ahead of a move to Swansea City.

Idah travelled south on Saturday evening, with the deal now at an advanced stage after both clubs reached an agreement.

The total package is expected to be worth over £7 million, with Sky Sports News reporting a £6 million initial fee, plus more than £1 million in potential add-ons.

The 24-year-old’s absence from the matchday squad for the weekend’s 0-0 draw at Ibrox added fuel to the speculation surrounding his future, and it now appears Celtic are ready to sanction the move with just hours remaining in the summer window.

Brendan Rodgers has made it clear he wants attacking reinforcements before letting Idah depart, with Danish striker Kasper Dolberg lined up as the potential replacement.

Talks with Anderlecht are ongoing, with reports suggesting Celtic are preparing a third bid to get the deal over the line.

Idah, who had a successful loan spell at Celtic during the second half of the 2023/24 campaign, made a strong impression with crucial goals in the title run-in. However, a permanent switch to the English Championship now looks all but confirmed as the player seeks regular first-team football.
