TBR Football can now confirm that Liverpool are interested in Bradley Barcola – and share what those inside PSG think. The France international has become one of the best players in Europe since his £39m move from Lyon to Paris in August 2023 – helping PSG win the treble last season with a remarkable haul of 21 goals and 21 assists in 64 appearances. However, the 22-year-old was left out of the starting XI by Luis Enrique for the UEFA Champions League final and the FIFA Club World Cup final, as Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were preferred.TBR Football can now confirm that PSG have no interest in selling Bradley Barcola this summer despite others being ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment, although Liverpool are lurking.Exclusive: Bradley Barcola would need to force PSG exit for Liverpool move to materialiseGraeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent for TBR Football – has been informed that PSG have no intention of selling the Frenchman this summer, and it would require “crazy” money for a deal to happen even if the attacker began to push for a move.We understand the Parisians would want at least £100m to sell the man born in Villeurbanne.Bailey says: “Bradley is a bit like Rodrygo (another player of interest to Liverpool) – too good not to ask about.“There is some interest from Liverpool. They are one of the sides who have a long-standing interest.“Intermediaries have been busy, checking on potential clubs he could join. Much would depend, like Rodrygo, on the player pushing. Liverpool won’t just bid for no reason. If they think the player wants to move they may look to do a deal.“As it stands PSG are strong in their stance – Barcola is not for sale and it would take crazy money to get him. £100m plus. However, if the player pushes, I am told it could become interesting. But PSG insist they have heard nothing.”Bradley Barcola was involved in Ibrahima Konate situation which sparked argumentBarcola played against Liverpool on two occasions last season in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, eventually beating the Reds on penalties at Anfield after a 1-1 draw on aggregate. However, an argument began after the Reds secured a 1-0 win in Paris in the first leg, following a clash between Ibrahima Konate and the PSG No.29 Liverpool admire. The Liverpool No.5 gave Barcola a slight nudge in the back just inside the box as the Frenchman surged towards goal, although neither a penalty or a red card were shown.Konate – who is yet to sign a new contract at Liverpool – said afterwards: “There was a VAR check. If there was a push, I would have been shown a red card.“I’m telling you that there wasn’t a foul. It’s true that I am very strong but I don’t apply power, I just put my arm (out). If I had put a lot more power into it then we could talk about it… but it was soft.”Nevertheless, Luis Campos – Director of Football for PSG – was enraged.Canal+ captured the Portuguese negotiator repeatedly saying “it’s a red card or penalty” at the interval, to which Virgil van Dijk quipped: “Come on bro, it’s not Ligue 1 bro. It’s not Ligue 1.”This angered Campos even more, who retorted: “It’s a red card or penalty in every part of football.”
