Dundee United v Celtic: Teams named for Premiership clash at Tannadice

Jim Goodwin and Brendan Rodgers have named their starting lineups for Sunday’s Premiership clash at Tannadice.

Celtic arrive in Tayside with the chance to increase their lead at the top of the league to eleven points after Aberdeen lost to Hibs on Saturday.

That Dons defeat means Rangers leapfrogged them into second and currently sit eight points behind their Old Firm rivals.

But Dundee United have aspirations of their own and they could jump up to fourth if they can inflict a first domestic defeat of the season on Celtic.

Goodwin has started with Walton behind Gallagher, Holt, Strain, Thomson, Stephenson, Sevelj, Ferry, Middleton, Fotheringham and Dalby

Rodgers is making his first trip to Tannadice after United were in the Championship for the duration of his first spell at Parkhead and last season when he returned.

He has Schmeichel in goals and a back four of Ralston, Welsh, Scales and Taylor.
