Mohamed Salah receives three-year deal with big salary offer to leave Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has continued to make the headlines this season on and off the pitch for Liverpool.

He has been in flying form under Arne Slot and is one of the most prolific players in world football this season, spearheading Liverpool to the top of the Premier League and UEFA Champions League standings.

Off the pitch, his contract standoff with the club is well documented, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.

And now, if reports are to be believed, Salah has received a massive offer to leave Liverpool on a free transfer.

Salah last signed a contract extension in the summer of 2022 when he became the highest-paid player in the club’s history.

In recent years, his form has shown no signs of slowing down despite entering his 30s, which is a sign that he still has a lot of football left at the top level.

Liverpool have offered Salah a new contract, but the Egyptian is yet to formally put pen to paper on a new deal, raising doubts about his future at Anfield.

And now, French journalist Romain Collet Godin claims PSG are in the running to sign the 32-year-old on a free transfer, offering him a superior contract to the one that’s currently on the table from Liverpool.

He wrote on X: “Mohamed Salah / PSG / Liverpool info: PSG are very keen to sign the Egyptian this summer and are offering him 500,000 € per week for 3 seasons!

“While Liverpool are offering him a slightly lower extension over 2 seasons with 400,000 € per week.”

He has already scored 20 goals across all competitions this season and is all set to have his most productive campaign at Anfield, which is some achievement considering how consistent he has been over the years.

Liverpool are still locked in talks to renew Salah’s contract and with Trent Alexander-Arnold attracting interest from Real Madrid, they can’t afford to have any doubts over the future of the Egyptian.
