PTV secures rights to air Asia Cup and all ACC events until 2027

LAHORE (Web Desk) – In a major development for cricket viewership in Pakistan, state broadcaster PTV has obtained exclusive domestic television rights for all Asian Cricket Council (ACC) events from 2025 to 2027.

This includes the Men’s Asia Cup in 2025 and 2027, the Women’s Asia Cup in 2026, and the U19 and Emerging Asia Cup tournaments.

PTV Sports confirmed the acquisition on Tuesday, posting the news across its social media platforms.

The high-profile agreement ensures that millions of Pakistani viewers will have access to every ACC tournament over the next three years. Of particular note is the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, now relocated to the United Arab Emirates and scheduled from 9 to 28 September due to political and logistical challenges between India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar hailed the agreement as a “landmark achievement,” crediting the leadership of Mohsin Naqvi during his ACC presidency.

PTV’s Executive Director Alia Rasheed emphasised the channel’s commitment to delivering premium sports content, stating the broadcaster is proud to partner with the ACC in promoting regional cricket.
