We are one year away from the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and fans will soon be able to get their hands on tickets to Toronto games starting in September.

The football association announced that tickets will be released in phases, and applications for the first draw will open up on September 10.

According to FIFA, tickets will be released in phases due to the anticipated high demand, with nearly 6.5 million fans expected to attend across 104 games being held in Canada, Mexico, and The United States.

“Following the incredible success of the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, excitement is reaching new heights for the FIFA World Cup 26,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in a statement.

Infantino says that the seats at the FIFA venues will be some of the most coveted in the world.

In Canada, the games will be hosted at Toronto’s BMO Field, and in Vancouver’s BC Place.

“Canada’s three group games in Qatar cost me $700 CAD total. I’d happily pay that again,” another user said.

FIFA has yet to share when the first draw will take place, but says ticket releases will continue up until the final game on July 19, 2026, in East Rutherford, NJ.

The games will start on June 11, 2026 in Mexico City, with the first match taking place at BMO Field on June 12.
