Introducing David McDonnell, the Manchester Evening News' new chief Manchester United reporter

The Manchester Evening News is delighted to announce the arrival of David McDonnell as our new chief Manchester United reporter.

The Manchester Evening News can confirm David McDonnell has joined the team as our chief Manchester United reporter.

David brings a wealth of experience to the role, having covered the Manchester patch for the Mirror for the last 24 years.

A previous North-West Football Awards Journalist of the Year winner, David will be keeping you up to date with all the latest United news, as Ruben Amorim looks to put an uninspiring start to the season behind him and build on Saturday’s win over Chelsea.
