UEFA Women’s EURO 2025: How Jule Brand has spearheaded Germany's charge into the final four

Jule Brand thrives on the big stage when she is in her element, as evidenced at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

The Olympic football bronze medallist has enjoyed a superb tournament so far with Germany, who face world champions Spain in the semi-finals in Zürich on Wednesday (23 July).

Brand started in the side that defeated the Spaniards in the Paris 2024 bronze-medal match almost a year ago, bringing that same spark to Switzerland, where she has two goals and two assists on the way to the final four.

“I definitely play my best when my mind is clear,” Brand told Soccer Bible ahead of EURO 2025. “When I’m not overthinking and I just go with my gut. That’s when things happen on the pitch and I don’t even know how they happened – it just flows.

“I need that mental freedom, no overloading with instructions. Just playing and having fun. I’d say I’m creative when I’m really into something. When I care, I get ideas – that’s when creativity comes out.”

Brand’s creativity has certainly shone at her third major tournament with DFB-Frauen, where she has produced more combined goal involvements than any German player. Can she produce more magic to send her nation to the EURO 2025 final?
