The lineup for the next stage of the 2025 FIFA men’s U-20 World Cup (27 September - 19 October) is taking shape.

The men's youth football tournament for players aged 20 or younger is being held across four cities in Chile, including the capital, Santiago, which will host the final and other matches.

Twenty-four nations from six football confederations are competing for the U-20 world title, but only 16 will advance to the knockout stage. Teams are divided into six groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing automatically, along with the four best third-placed nations.

Japan became the first nation to book their spot in the next round, having won their first two Group A matches without conceding a goal.
