FORMER tennis star Anna Kournikova is pregnant again just months after a health scare, according to reports from Spain.

The 44-year-old is reportedly preparing to welcome her fourth child with her husband Enrique Iglesias.

Spanish publication Hola claims that she is already halfway through the pregnancy.

A source close to the couple has also said things are progressing well.

The news comes months after Kournikova was pictured in a wheelchair and wearing a protective boot, sparking health fears.

The former tennis ace and Iglesias already have three kids - twins Lucy and Nicholas, seven, and five-year-old Mary.

Having retired from professional tennis in 2003, she now keeps much of her family life private.

The Russian once boasted a top ranking in doubles and peaked at number eight in the singles game 25 years ago.

She failed to win a singles Grand Slam title during her career but came close when she reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon in 1997.

However, Kournikova did secure two doubles titles at the Australian Open in 1999 and 2002.

She was forced to retire at just 21-years-old due to injury troubles.

Off the court, Kournikova became a model, and was as well known for her beauty as she was for her tennis prowess.

She was voted the world's sexiest woman in 2002, beating names such as Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.

She doubled down by being voted the sexiest tennis player of all time in 2010.

But the unrelenting, constant scrutiny and attention certainly took its toll.

As did injuries - a left foot stress fracture, abductor issues and back problems.

So much so that Kournikova made the shock decision to retire in May 2003, aged just 21 and after just eight years as a pro.

She hung up her racquet with 16 doubles titles to her name - plus finals in the French Open doubles and both Wimbledon and US Open mixed.
