He accomplished the massive feat on Tuesday, August 5, at Lord's in London during the first game of The Hundred. The wrist-spinner held London Spirit to 80 runs in 94 balls and claimed three wickets for the Oval Invincibles . He recorded numbers of 3/11 in 20 balls after dismissing Wayne Madsen Liam Dawson , and Ryan Higgins . He also took 650 wickets in T20 cricket during his time, dismissing Dawson leg before wicket for one. With 651 wickets from 478 innings at an average of 18.54 and four five-wicket hauls to his credit, the Afghanistan wrist-spinner became the first player to accomplish the feat. In the meantime, Oval Invincibles won the match by six wickets thanks to his incredible stint, which gave them a great start to their title defence. As the Invincibles chased down the mark in 69 balls, Will Jacks (24 off 24), Tawanda Muyeye (18 off 20), and Sam Curran (14 off 9) emerged as the leading scorers.Rashid once again proved his ability to win matches in the shortest format, leading his team to victory and earning Hero of the Match honours. Rashid previously took 4/19 wickets for the Speen Ghar Tigers in the Shpadeeza Cricket League. He finished the competition with five wickets, but he was only able to take one more in the preceding four games.Surprisingly, the 26-year-old's IPL 2025 was unmemorable as he only managed to take nine wickets in 15 games at an average of 57.11 and an economy of 9.34, with best stats of 2/25. Rashid will therefore be keen to maintain his outstanding play and assist the Invincibles in defending their title after starting the Hundred on a high note.
